Climate Change Bill Imminent: Lawyers

Law360, New York (August 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Climate change has gained enough momentum so that federal legislation addressing the issue is a virtual certainty in the next four years, regardless of which political party wields power in January 2009, environmental lawyers say.

"It's not a red state versus blue state issue," said Stuart Hammer, an environmental attorney with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. "In the next administration, we expect to have climate change legislation passed."
