Pfizer, Apotex Agree To Settle Over Lipitor

Law360, New York (August 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Pfizer Inc. has agreed to settle its patent lawsuit against Canadian drugmaker Apotex Inc., possibly ending the fight over the production of the generic versions of Pfizer's blockbuster cholesterol-reducing drug, Lipitor.

Pfizer reported the settlement in a terse note to its quarterly report, filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.
