E.C. Launches Investigation Of Belgian Gas Provider

Law360, New York (May 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Commission has launched a formal investigation of Distrigas, over concerns that the Beglian gas supplier has been muscling potential competitors out of Belgium.

Distrigas has enlisted long-term contracts as a tool to stymie competition and bar entry from new players into the Belgian gas market, the E.C. contends.
