University To Pay $3M For Superfund Cleanup

Law360, New York (August 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The University of Rhode Island and two towns in the state have agreed to pay $3 million to clean up a Superfund site that was once a town dump. The settlement came shortly after the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency filed a lawsuit seeking reimbursement for the cleanup.
