Law360 (August 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A black female vice president at defense contractor Raytheon Co. has filed a lawsuit against the company, accusing it of subjecting her to a hostile work environment, harassment and retaliation.
In the lawsuit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Cassandra Matthews claims that Raytheon discriminates against its minority employees as a practice. She is seeking an injunction and damages compensation.
Raytheon spokesman Jon Kasle discounted the allegations Wednesday. “Raytheon is proud of its record of employee relations and believes there is no merit to these claims,” he said.
