Republic Turns Down Waste Management Bid Again

Law360, New York (August 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Waste Management Inc. said it would reassess its options after rival Republic Service Inc. turned down the company's second buyout offer out of concern that the deal would draw tougher antitrust scrutiny than a bid from waste service provider Allied Waste Industries Inc.
