Law360, New York (August 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Former chief of staff and general counsel of the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission John S. Moot has decided to return to his roots in private practice, announcing that he will rejoin Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP's energy regulation and litigation group three weeks from now.
“It made me a better lawyer, by making me understand the perspectives of the agency from the inside,” Moot said of the three years he spent at the FERC. He left the commission in July.
