Merck Study Was For Marketing: Report

Law360 (August 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Merck & Co. clinical study of the now-withdrawn medication Vioxx was a marketing tool intended to increase sales rather than a study to examine the health benefits of the drug, according to a new medical journal report.
