Wickes Creditors Seek Return Of Almost $800K

Law360, New York (August 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Unsecured creditors of bankrupt Wickes Furniture Co. Inc. have sued delivery company Affinity Logistics Corp. for the return of almost $800,000 in transfers from Wickes to Affinity that the creditors claim were improper.

According to the complaint, filed Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, a minimum of six transfers — amounting at least $792,225.25 — were made to Affinity in November and December 2007, ahead of Wickes' February bankruptcy filing.
