EPA Sued For Withholding Studies On New Pesticide

Law360, New York (August 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An environmental group has filed a lawsuit seeking to force the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to release information about the possible connection between a new pesticide and the recent loss of millions of honeybees across the United States.

In a suit filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, Natural Resources Defense Council claims the EPA violated the Freedom of Information Act by failing to produce studies on the matter in response to the group's July 17 request.
