FTC Report: No Evidence Of Gas Price-Gouging

Law360 (May 22, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A nation looking to place blame for rising prices at the pump will have little resolution this week after a Federal Trade Commission probe found scant evidence of price gouging by gas refiners and retailers in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and said regional or local market trends may explain the higher prices, according to a report released today by the agency.
