Transworld Oil Unit Faces Suit Over Air Violations

Law360, New York (August 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Louisiana and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency alleged in a suit filed Tuesday that a Transworld Oil USA Inc. subsidiary's petroleum refinery violates both federal and state clean air laws by emitting air pollutants and not undergoing the proper reviews.

The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana on Tuesday, accuses Calcasieu Refining Co. of breaching the Clean Air Act and the Louisiana Environmental Quality Act.
