NH Judge Allows Logging To Go Ahead As Scheduled

Law360, New York (August 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has refused to grant a stay to three environmental groups that are hoping to stop a pair of logging projects from going forward in New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest.

In an opinion issued Friday, Judge Steven J. McAuliffe of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire ruled that the environmental groups were not likely to succeed on the merits, and that the logging projects could therefore begin before the outcome of an appeal.
