Law360, New York (August 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has a settled a lawsuit that accused the clerk of the Circuit Court for Hillsborough County, Fla., of violating federal law by failing to reinstate an Army Reserve sergeant to her previous position when she returned from active duty.
Judge James D. Whittemore signed off on an order dismissing the case, which was lodged in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, on Aug. 7.
