Greenberg Seeks Broad Appeal Of Judge’s AIG Rulings
Law360, New York (June 18, 2015, 3:00 PM EDT) -- Former CEO of American International Group Inc. Maurice R. Greenberg will appeal a judge’s decision that did not award damages despite finding that the Federal Reserve acted illegally in its bailout of the insurer as well as the dismissal of several other claims two years ago, according to a Thursday court filing.
The attorneys representing Greenberg said they intend to appeal both Court of Federal Claims Judge Thomas C. Wheeler’s Monday decision that saw him find that Greenberg and other investors had no viable damages claims against the Fed, as well as his June 2013 ruling that eliminated Greenberg’s derivative claims...
