Gas Group Asks Pa. High Court To Enforce Drilling Decision

Law360, New York (June 22, 2015, 1:55 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Independent Oil & Gas Association on Friday said it asked the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to enforce portions of its landmark 2013 ruling striking down rules preventing fracking bans in the state, arguing the state is selectively complying with a largely gutted law. 

Though the December 2013 ruling in Robinson Township v. Commonwealth struck a huge blow to the state’s oil-and-gas industry, the trade group now finds itself asking the high court to enforce a portion of its ruling that took down well-permit requirements along with other key sections of the state’s Act 13.
