States Seek To Slow Judicial Election 'Arms Races'

Law360, New York (August 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In early 2008, Wisconsin voters were bombarded with nearly 12,000 campaign commercials, many of them negative, according to campaign watchdog group Factcheck.org. Another group, the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, has revealed that the entire ad campaign cost $6 million, with around $4.8 million put out by outside interest groups.
