Dot Hill Negotiates With Ciprico To Buy IP Rights

Law360, New York (August 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Dot Hill Systems Corp., a developer of computer storage hardware and software, is negotiating to buy intellectual property assets from Ciprico Inc., the storage software provider that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July.

On Wednesday, Dot Hill announced it had negotiated a proposed asset purchase agreement with Ciprico that would allow Dot Hill to buy Ciprico's intellectual property rights to RAIDCore and network attached storage technologies, which provide software alternatives to storage solutions that have historically been served by hardware, like storage cards....
