OFT Considers Review Of U.K. Airports Market

Law360 (May 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Office of Fair Trading has announced it is considering whether to open up an inquiry into Britain’s airport market as the airport operator BAA PLC is battling a hostile takeover bid.

Britain’s competition regulator said it may want to examine the airport market structure and BAA’s dominance in order to evaluate if the market is working in the best interest of consumers.
