Cessna Balks At Trio Of Crash Complaints

Law360, New York (August 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- On Thursday, Cessna Aircraft Co. sought to dismiss the complaints brought by the estate representatives of plane crash victims Marco Vinicio Obregon Garcia, Karen Desiree Figueroa and Jorge Guillermo Obregon Reyna, arguing that the suits violate Florida law.

“The defendant, Cessna, hereby moves this honorable court for entry of an order dismissing plaintiff’s complaint, or require a more definite statement as to Cessna’s alleged liability,” attorneys for the aircraft manufacturer said in a motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida,...
