Wal-Mart Settles With Adidas In Trademark Case

Law360, New York (September 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In another victory for Adidas AG over its three-stripe trademark, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has agreed to settle a 3-year-old lawsuit with the sportswear maker.

Both companies issued statements on Monday announcing the settlement, the terms of which were not disclosed. The companies also filed a joint motion to dismiss the case with prejudice on Friday. A trial had been scheduled to begin next month in U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.
