CFTC Accuses Calif. Fund Of Commodity Pool Fraud

Law360, New York (September 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission has sued a California-based investment group for allegedly making false trading statements in a scheme to defraud commodity pool investors.

The complaint, filed Aug. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, accuses Forward Investment Group LLC and its principal, Robert D. Bame, of violating the Commodity Exchange Act through their fraudulent operation of a commodity pool in 2007 and 2008.
