Alice Kills 3 MicroStrategy Data Storage Patents, Judge Says

Law360, New York (July 22, 2015, 4:27 PM EDT) -- A Virginia federal judge has ruled that three data storage patents owned by MicroStrategy Inc. are invalid under the U.S. Supreme Court's Alice ruling for claiming only abstract ideas, in a win for accused infringer Apttus Corp., MicroStrategy's rival in the business intelligence software industry.
