Former EEOC Vice Chair Joins Proskauer

Law360, New York (September 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Proskauer Rose LLP has snagged the former vice chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, adding her as a partner in the firm's Washington, D.C., office.

Leslie E. Silverman, who headed the EEOC's systemic discrimination program, will start with the firm later this fall.

Silverman, who joined the EEOC as a commissioner in 2002, also helped spearhead the commission's examination of discrimination against workers with care-giving responsibilities, an effort that culminated in new EEOC enforcement guidelines.
