E.U. Eyes Financial Industry Over Antitrust Concerns

Law360, New York (June 6, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Less than two months after a wide-scale inquiry into the credit card industry in the European Union revealed that businesses and consumers do not yet benefit from a fully competitive internal market, the country’s top antitrust regulator said this week that internal market regulators have identified more problems in the financial industry and are poised to take action.
