Iowa AG Takes Meat Packer To Task

Law360, New York (September 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Iowa attorney general has slammed the managers and owners of a kosher meatpacking plant with more than 9,000 misdemeanor child labor charges after an immigration raid in May discovered that dozens of the plant's workers were under the age of 18.

On Wednesday, Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller hit Agriprocessors Inc. and numerous individuals with 9,311 violations related to the 32 workers at the factory who were allegedly under 18 years old, including seven who were under 16 years old.
