NJ District Judge Dickinson Debevoise Dies At 91

Law360, Los Angeles (August 14, 2015, 8:42 PM EDT) -- Judge Dickinson R. Debevoise, who served in the District of New Jersey for more than 35 years, died at his home early Friday morning at the age of 91, the court confirmed.

Chief U.S. District Judge Jerome Simandle mourned Judge Debevoise’s passing, saying in a statement, “Our court has lost one of its greatest judges ever.”

A memorial service is tentatively scheduled for late September at Episcopal Cathedral in Newark, according to the court.

His wife of 64 years, Katrina Debevoise, died in May.
