With Merger, Orrick Expands Into Germany

Law360, New York (September 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a continued push to expand its practice internationally, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP will merge with the German law firm Holters & Elsing, boosting its Europe-based ranks to 250, the law firm announced Monday.

By merging with Holters & Elsing, Orrick will add 55 new lawyers in Germany, spread out between offices in Dusseldorf, Berlin and Frankfurt, and will likely double its presence there within the first five years of the marriage.
