PEC Sues Over N.C. Superfund Cleanup

Law360 (September 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Utility company Progress Energy Carolinas Inc. has sued 28 other potentially responsible parties to recover cleanup costs associated with a former electrical transformer manufacturing site near the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, asserting its rights under the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act.
