7th Circ. Affirms NLRB Decision On Replacement Hires

Law360 (September 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An employer that refused to reinstate United Steelworkers union strikers did not violate the National Labor Relations Act because it had hired permanent replacement employees, the National Labor Relations Board said in a decision that was affirmed by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit Monday.
