Mo. Cigarette Suit Stuck In Discovery

Law360, New York (September 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After a decade of languishing in a St. Louis circuit court, a $1 billion lawsuit filed by dozens of Missouri hospitals against cigarette makers is reportedly bogged down in the discovery process.

The tobacco companies are currently bogged down with the court's discovery demands and are trying to sift through tens of thousands of records for patients from at least 30 different Missouri hospitals, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported on Monday.
