Intel Fires Back At AMD Over Motion To Dismiss

Law360, New York (June 12, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Chip maker Advanced Micro Devices Inc. is grasping for strings in its attempt to hold rival Intel Corp. accountable in U.S. courts for foreign conduct, according to Intel, which is trying to dismiss foreign commerce claims from AMD’s antitrust case.

Intel’s most-recent claims were found in a 27-page memorandum supporting its earlier motion to dismiss the case. Intel expanded on its motion, filed in early May, after AMD accused the company of underestimating the reach of U.S. antitrust law.
