FERC Unveils Revised Natural Gas Transparency Rule

Law360, New York (September 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an effort to improve the transparency of wholesale natural gas markets, federal energy regulators have revised a rule that sets reporting requirements for information provided by market participants to price index publishers.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission said on Thursday that it had clarified that buyers and sellers will soon have to report all information for transactions that use, contribute to or could lead to a price index.
