USA Discounters' Unsecured Creditors Hire Kelley Drye
Law360, New York (September 2, 2015, 5:43 PM EDT) -- Kelley Drye & Warren LLP has been selected to advise the unsecured creditors' committee in the recent bankruptcy of jewelry and appliance retailer USA Discounters Ltd., the firm said Wednesday.
Unsecured creditors' claims in the suit add up to approximately $2.6 million, according to filings by USA Discounters Vice President Timothy Dorsey.
Kelley Drye said in a statement that a number of firms were considered for the role.
Virginia-based USA Discounters filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 24, citing a slowdown in its $114 million of outstanding receivables. Many of its customers buy its goods on a store credit plan, Dorsey said....
