E.C. Ups Deadline For GDF-Suez Merger

Law360, New York (June 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The European Commission has bumped up its deadline to rule on Gaz de France SA’s controversial merger with Suez SA to its original June 19 target date after determining that the Belgian government did not make a formal request to examine the anti-competitive effects of the merger.
