Dewey Cooperators, Emails Don't Pin DiCarmine, Jury Hears

Law360, New York (September 9, 2015, 11:03 PM EDT) -- The lead attorney for the former executive director of Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP made his final pitch to jurors Wednesday in the trial of the collapsed firm's former leaders, saying neither the testimony of cooperating witnesses nor the trove of email evidence in this case implicates his client.

Stephen DiCarmine is on trial alongside former Dewey Chairman Steven Davis and Chief Financial Officer Joel Sanders, accused of masterminding a scheme to defraud the firm's lenders and investors before the firm collapsed into bankruptcy in May 2012.
