Apparel Firm Settles Suit Over Air Violations

Law360, New York (September 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Minneapolis-based branded apparel company has agreed to shell out $330,000 to resolve a Wisconsin state lawsuit alleging it failed to comply with air pollution controls at its industrial laundering facility in Green Bay, Wis., from 2004 to 2007.

Brown County Circuit Court Judge Marc Hammer approved G&K Services Inc.’s settlement over claims that it operated its facility in violation of state air pollution statutes by engaging in activities that increased emissions of volatile organic compounds and other hazardous air pollutants, according to Wisconsin’s Attorney General...
