Ivory Coast Pesticide Tort Hits Wall At 9th Circ.

Law360, New York (September 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A district court properly dismissed claims for genocide and crimes against humanity under the Alien Tort Statute in a toxic tort action filed by Ivory Coast fruit plantation workers against AMVAC Chemical Corp., Dole Food Co. and others, a federal appeals court has ruled.
