Winn-Dixie Set To Emerge From Ch. 11 By October

Law360, New York (June 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In light of a tentative deal with its creditors, Winn-Dixie Stores intends to file its reorganization plan later this month and emerge from bankruptcy by late October, according to an attorney for the supermarket chain.

On Thursday, Winn-Dixie attorney Stephen Busey informed U.S. District Bankruptcy Judge Jerry Funk that the committee of unsecured creditors and the grocery goliath had reached a compromise on how the creditors would be repaid.
