Court Tosses Age Bias Suits Against PwC

Law360, New York (September 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two suits alleging that PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP discriminated against older employees by failing to promote them have been dismissed by a district court.

Judge Richard J. Leon of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Wednesday granted summary judgment to the accounting giant, tossing complaints by a current managing director and a former managing director over the age of 60 who claimed the firm has engaged in a practice of offering promotions to younger, less qualified candidates.
