Device Co. Fights BCBS Bid To Kill $67M Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (September 25, 2015, 4:48 PM EDT) -- Heart monitoring device and service provider LifeWatch Services Inc. urged a Pennsylvania federal court not to toss its $66.5 million antitrust suit against Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and its affiliated health insurance providers on Thursday.

BCBS and its licensed insurers, including Highmark and WellPoint Inc., have told the court to toss the suit alleging the defendants conspired to restrain trade in devices that automatically monitor and transmit information on a patient's irregular heartbeat to the company.
