Law360, New York (September 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an effort to create “green jobs” and encourage the use of renewable energy, the U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill that would earmark $15 billion in tax credits for environmentally friendly energy projects just days after the Senate passed a similar bill.
Members of the House approved the Renewable Energy and Job Creation Tax Act of 2008, HR 7060, in a 257 to 166 vote on Friday.
