GAO Slams FDA For Fresh Produce Oversight

Law360, New York (September 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration needs to improve its oversight of fresh produce, the U.S. Government Accountability Office has said, faulting the agency for inspecting only 1 percent of the fresh produce imported into the United States between 2002 and 2007.
