Renewable Tax Credit Bill Added To Bailout Plan

Law360, New York (October 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate has attached a renewable tax credit bill to the financial bailout legislation set to go up for a vote on Wednesday, in the hopes of forcing the U.S. House of Representatives to approve a measure that differs from its own clean energy incentive proposal.

Since the Senate and House each passed bills designed to renew the tax credits for investments in renewable energy sources last week, the two chambers have been deadlocked over ways to unite the two into one measure.
