BrictsonCohn Slapped With Trademark Suit

Law360, New York (October 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Labnet Inc., a trade association that operates the Worklaw Network to bring together employer-side law firms and employers seeking legal advice, has sued employee-side law firm BrictsonCohn for infringing the association's “Worklaw” trademark.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, Labnet said that San Diego-based BrictsonCohn's Web addresses containing the phrase “worklaw” — and — infringe Labnet's registered mark, in violation of the Lanham Act and the Anti-Cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act.
