EPA, Conn. Sue For Superfund Site Cleanup Costs

Law360, New York (October 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the state of Connecticut have both sued a gold leaf manufacturer for the costs of cleaning up a Superfund site in the state.

The state and the EPA filed separate lawsuits Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. Both suits target Hartford, Conn.-based M. Swift & Sons Inc., over cleanup of the Solvents Recovery Services of New England Inc. Federal Superfund Site, located along the Quinnipiac River in Southington, Conn.
