Congress Questions Medtronic On Kickbacks

Law360, New York (October 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two congressmen have asked medical device company Medtronic Inc. for records relating to payments awarded to physicians who worked as consultants on its orthopedic products.

In separate letters to the company, Sens. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, and Herb Kohl, D-Wis., asked Medtronic for documents detailing contracts it has with doctors for its products and documents questioning off-label marketing procedures of the Infuse Bone Graft.
