Dow Chemical Faces $330K Fine For Shoddy Records

Law360, New York (October 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has leveled an administrative complaint against The Dow Chemical Company, seeking a $330,000 fine for clean air violations at a plastics manufacturing plant in Connecticut.

The agency issued the complaint last week, notifying Dow that it intends to assess penalties for numerous violations of the clean air operating permit at Dow’s Allyn Point facility, which manufactures polystyrene plastics, Styrofoam and latex.
