Ireland's New High Court Division To Deal With IP

Law360, New York (January 7, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- The new commercial division of Ireland’s High Court, to be created this month, will deal with intellectual property cases, the government said.

The rules for the new court will come into effect on Jan. 12, according to government officials.

The new division will also deal will deal with business transactions where the value of the claim is €1m or more.

Judicial review cases which relate to major commercial matters will also fall under the jurisdiction of the court.
