No Amount of Melamine Safe In Baby Formula: FDA

Law360, New York (October 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A review done by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration was unable to determine any level of melamine in infant formula that would be safe, the agency said Friday.

The review was prompted by reports of melamine contamination in products containing milk manufactured in China. Four children in China have died and tens of thousands became ill after being fed milk products that contained melamine.
